Volunteer Appreciation Event – April 27th, 2017

May 11, 2017 by People, Words & Change

Volunteers are the most important resource for many community organizations. Our program helps change lives because of the unfaltering commitment of our volunteers.

On Thursday, April 27th, we hosted yet another successful and fun Volunteer Appreciation Night to recognize all the time and energy our volunteer tutors dedicate to our program.

Courtesy of local establishments, we enjoyed refreshments as our volunteers chose gifts donated by Ottawa’s finest. The generosity of these businesses is another testament to the strong community that People, Words & Change calls home.

Ottawa’s very own Tammy Giuliani, Master Gelato Chef and Owner of Stella Luna Gelato Café, provided the highlight of the evening with her story and samples of her handcrafted gelato for everyone to try! We look forward to the opening of her new location, Stella Luna Hintonburg, at 1130 Wellington St. West.
