Essential Skills for Essential Workers – Cashier Training Pilot Program

November 30, 2020 by PWCUpdates

In November 2020, PWC partnered with Agilec Ottawa to deliver a three-week program to four learners, with no prior retail experience, who wanted to learn the essential skills needed to work in a grocery retail setting.

PWC delivered the retail math component (cash handling and point of sale transactions) while Agilec delivered training and certifications in health and safety, customer service, and resume and job interview skills. The program ran simultaneously with the same program in Peterborough through a partnership between Agilec Peterborough and the Trent Valley Literacy Association.

PWC would like to congratulate the learners and organizations involved and we look forward to delivering more training in the future!
